University Dental Associates seeks a Friday-only Dental Hygienist to provide patient-centered preventive and periodontal care across a modern, multi-location practice. Qualifications

• Active RDH license; CPR/BLS certification; anesthesia certification (NC) preferred.
• OSHA and HIPAA compliance training.
• Certification to administer local anesthesia in NC (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide routine dental hygiene care including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
• Perform periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings, and risk assessments at each hygiene visit.
• Take and evaluate digital radiographs and intraoral images to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and home-care routines.
• Collaborate with dentists and clinical team to coordinate care.
• Document clinical findings, treatment, and education in the EHR.
• Follow infection control, sterilization, and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and quality-improvement initiatives.

• Perform comprehensive periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings, and risk assessments at each hygiene visit
• Take and evaluate digital radiographs and intraoral images to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and personalized home-care routines to support long-term oral health
• Collaborate closely with dentists and clinical team members to coordinate treatment and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
• Accurately document clinical findings, treatment provided, and patient education in the electronic health record
• Follow strict infection control, sterilization, and OSHA/CDC guidelines to maintain a safe, compliant clinical environment
• Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and quality-improvement initiatives to support clinical excellence
