Job summary

Wrightsville Dental in Wilmington, NC is seeking a passionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team and deliver compassionate, high-quality care. You will perform cleanings, radiographs, assessments, and patient education in a welcoming clinical environment.

You will collaborate with the dentist to craft personalized treatment plans, document care, and support patients’ preventive strategies, while maintaining accurate records and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Active RDH license in North Carolina
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• CPR/BLS certification current or active

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments including periodontal charting
• Take and review dental X-rays (radiographs) per practice protocol
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Document patient records and treatment notes in the PM system
• Collaborate with dentist to develop individualized treatment plans
• Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride or sealants as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures for patients
• Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments including periodontal charting and screenings
• Take and review dental X-rays (radiographs) in accordance with practice protocols
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, home care, and preventive strategies
• Document accurate patient records and treatment notes in the practice management system
• Collaborate with the dentist and dental team to develop individualized patient treatment plans
• Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride or sealant treatments as needed

Requirements

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of North Carolina
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with dental practice management software is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care
