Job summary

GEA Group is a global engineering leader with a strong U.S. presence, offering a challenging role in applications engineering and technical sales support for hygienic and aseptic solutions.

You will advise customers, prepare PIDs, cost sheets, and quotes, and collaborate with international teams to deliver customized process solutions for food and beverage applications. 50–60% travel expected.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in application engineering and technical sales support activities.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required.
• Understanding of Fluid Dynamics and related industry practices.
• Knowledge of sanitary liquid processing equipment and processes.
• Familiarity with solenoid control technology and communication protocols.
• Knowledge of Hy5 and Configit product sizing and selection software.
• Understanding of inventory management practices, including safety stock and lead time planning.
• Knowledge with pricing strategy, sales channels and discounting practice.
• Understanding of cost accounting principles and invoicing practices.
• Familiarity with importing logistics and currency exchange rates.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on the proper application of hygienic and aseptic valves and technologies for Food, Dairy, and Beverage applications.
• Prepare or aid in the preparation of PIDs prior to quoting.
• Prepare cost sheets and quotes for end-customers, integrators and distributors.
• Collaborate with BU-V&P colleagues in Germany and Switzerland on technical matters.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to end-customers, integrators, and distributors.
• Provide hygienic and aseptic technology training for stakeholders.
