Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is hiring a Full‑Time Hygiene Assistant for our Wilmington/Porters Neck team. You will assist the hygienist, take digital X‑rays, and record patient histories while maintaining sterilization protocols.

We seek a dependable, detail‑oriented individual with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. DA II training or equivalent and NC X‑ray/CPR certifications (or ability to obtain) are preferred. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• DA II training or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience assisting hygiene preferred.
• NC X‑ray Certification.
• Coronal Polishing Certificate.
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Knowledge of Denticon is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the hygienist daily with diverse workflow.
• Take digital X‑rays.
• Collect and record patient health histories and vital signs.
• Follow sterilization protocols for operatory turnover and setup.
• Support patient education and post‑appointment instructions.
• Maintain instruments, equipment, and clinical supplies.
• Schedule appointments.
• Support additional clinical‑related tasks.
