Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Full-Time Hygiene Assistant to join our Porters Neck team and provide compassionate patient care.

You will assist the hygienist, take digital X-rays, record health histories and vital signs, and uphold sterilization standards in a fast-paced, growth‑oriented practice. NC X-ray and coronal polishing certs are preferred; 1–3 years of experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• DA II training or equivalent required.
• NC X-ray Certification required.
• Coronal Polishing Certificate required.
• 1–3 years of hygiene assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the hygienist daily with diverse workflow.
• Take digital X-rays.
• Record patient health histories and vital signs.
• Follow sterilization protocols for operatory turnover and setup.
• Support patient education and post-appointment instructions.
• Maintain instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Schedule appointments.
• Support additional clinical-related tasks.

What you will do
