Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a Full-time Hygiene Assistant II to support the hygienist and coordinate treatment plans in the Triangle Area. This role involves preparing materials, sterilizing equipment, and managing patient records with a team-focused culture.

Ideal candidates have CDA certification or radiology equivalency, CPR within 30 days, coronal polishing, and familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Denticon. Travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Preferred Dental Hygiene Assistant experience.
• CDA certification or radiology equivalency exam through NC Board.
• CPR certification or will become CPR certified within 30 days of hire.
• Coronal Polishing Certification.
• Ability to present treatment plans and insurance information to patients.
• Knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists the hygienist in providing dental treatment.
• Functions as a treatment coordinator and prepares and presents treatment plan to patients.
• Schedules patient appointments to accommodate potential obstacles.
• Maintains dental instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Collects and records patient health histories.

• Completes dental charting.

Hygiene Assistant II KEY COMPETENCIES

• Assists the hygienist in providing dental treatment
• Functions as a treatment coordinator and prepares and presents treatment plan to patients
• Schedules patient appointment to accommodate potential obstacles
• Maintains dental instruments, supplies and equipment

Essential Requirements

• Preferred Dental Hygiene Assistant experience
• Achieved CDA certification, or completed radiological equivalency exam through NC State Board of Dental Examiners, or completed CODA-accredited dental assisting program
• CPR certified, or will become CPR certified within 30 days of hire
• Coronal Polishing Certification
• Ability to professionally present clinical information regarding treatment plans and insurance information to patients
• Knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon software a plus
• Regular and timely attendance
• Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise good judgment ability to formulate, affect, interpret, and/or implement operating practices
• Ability to demonstrate a teamwork approach to job responsibilities
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability and promptness
• Must perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail
