Job summary

Harris Kocher Smith is seeking a Potholer or Hydrovac Operator to join our Utility Services team in the Denver area. You will operate a Ford 550 truck and vacuum trailer, performing high‑pressure digging and utility uncovering with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The role involves maintaining equipment, taking field measurements, and documenting daily activities. Shifts average about 50 hours per week, with potential night or weekend work for safety and project needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hydrovac excavation or potholing experience.
• Must lift up to 75 pounds, walk long periods, and work in all weather conditions.
• Colorado Driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment drug and criminal background screen.
• Ability to obtain CDL A license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vacuum excavation truck and related equipment.
• Operate high-pressure wand and perform vacuum excavation near utilities.
• Perform field measurements and document daily activities.
• Carry out basic mathematical calculations.
• General cleanup of job sites.
