Job summary

Badlands Hydrovac Services LLC is seeking a Hydrovac Swamper to support the hydrovac operator in outdoor excavation projects. You will help with setup, operation, and maintenance while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Ideal candidates have a GED and 1 year of experience, with a preference for a high school diploma or equivalent. Strong teamwork and communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• GED is required.
• 1 year of experience is required.
• Knowledge of excavation and utility locating techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and preparing the hydrovac truck for operation.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Prepare the excavation site and mark out digging areas.
• Assist operator with high-pressure water and vacuum systems.
• Guide wand/nozzle to excavate and remove soil safely.
• Transport excavated material to disposal site.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment and report issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and locations.
• Comply with environmental guidelines during operations.
• Collaborate with the crew to complete tasks efficiently.
