Job summary

HDR is seeking a Hydropower Project Manager to plan and manage small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine ones. You will independently coordinate professional staff and balance teams throughout project development, while establishing client relations and participating in meetings across design, production, contracts.

You will review with governing agencies for compliance, supervise design development, track finances, and ensure documents are delivered on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7 years related experience in hydropower, construction, or design fields.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Ability to coordinate design teams and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to active participation in employee-owned culture.

• Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule.
• Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule.
• Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Hydropower Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-10 years experience in business development, sales, or other outfacing client development services
• 5-10 years experience in field work, administration or management for construction, craft labor or other relatable fields

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience
• 7 years related experience
• A minimum of 2 years project management experience
• Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
