Job summary

HDR is seeking a Hydropower Project Manager in California to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across projects from planning through production, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. You will establish strong client relations and oversee design, contract documents, and compliance with governing agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years related experience and at least 2 years in project management, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience.

• A minimum of 2 years project management experience
• Excellent organizational, project management and communication skills (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects.
• Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project’s development.
• Establish client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance.
• Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff.
• Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule.
• Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule.
• Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Hydropower Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-10 years experience in business development, sales, or other outfacing client development services
• 5-10 years experience in field work, administration or management for construction, craft labor or other relatable fields
