Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. seeks a skilled maintenance technician to diagnose, repair, and replace components on industrial systems. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, welding, piping work, and operation of mobile equipment as needed.

The role emphasizes reading blueprints, following safety procedures, and applying mechanical knowledge to keep pumps and hydraulics running smoothly. A High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year mechanical/maintenance experience.
• Must pass required written assessment where applicable.
• Ability to understand and follow English safety instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists with and performs component diagnostic, replacement, and repairs on various systems.
• Performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance, checks oil levels, greasing, and filters.
• Removes, repairs, and installs piping and pump components such as valves and expansion joints.
• May operate mobile equipment and perform welding on structures and equipment.
• Performs additional duties as required.
