What You Will Do

GFT Infrastructure is seeking a Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineer (H&H Engineer) to join our Hydraulics Team in Fort Worth, Beaumont, Dallas, Austin, or Houston, TX. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Fort Worth, Beaumont, or Houston office.

GFT Geotechnical Dams & Hydraulics Team

Joining the dams and hydraulics team at GFT means contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. Our team excels in dams and levees, advanced water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and conveyance, collection, and transmission. With a focus on integrating technology, sustainability, and compliance, we consider each water resources and environmental remediation project a chance to innovate and evolve to protect public health and enhance quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of drainage impact studies, master plans, and engineering reports (including CLOMRS & LOMRS)
• Lead the development of project design concepts, criteria, construction plans and review project documents for conformity and quality assurance
• Work with client and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work
• Analyze complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures
• Consult with construction personnel concerning design constructability
• Provide input for proposals and pursuit of new projects
• Supervise junior level staff
• Make recommendations on project staffing
• Communicate independently with clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• 4 to 10 Years of relevant experience involving H&H Projects
• Experience with project proposals and presentations

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, XP SWMM (1D/2D), AutoCAD/MicroStation (preferred)

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $135,000, dependent upon experience and geographic location.
