Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Geologist or Hydrogeologist to join our Environmental / Water Resources Team in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role focuses on water resource projects for utilities and government agencies, delivering water supply and water management solutions.

Responsibilities include field documentation, well construction observation, and regulatory compliance, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with professionals and clients, and readiness to travel to project sites across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Professional registration in NC and/or VA or ability to become registered
• Experience with MODFLOW / MT3DMS, SEAWAT
• Experience with permit compliance and construction inspection
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work outdoors

Responsibilities

• Prepare task documentation and progress summary reports
• Prepare lithologic descriptions and geologic profiles for water supply wells
• Observe and document well construction activity for regulatory compliance
• Perform on-site activities including well construction and testing inspections
• Interact with clients and regulatory agencies
• Collaborate with water resource and environmental professionals
• Permit compliance and construction inspection for deep water supply wells and Class I UIC wells
