Job summary

Civicworks is seeking a Hydrogeologist 2 to provide technical support to Arizona's General Stream Adjudication Courts. The role involves field data collection, water resource analysis, map production, and historical research on water rights and landownership.

The ideal candidate has a geology/hydrology background with ArcGIS proficiency and strong technical writing skills to communicate complex data to diverse audiences. A valid AZ driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus two years of experience; or Master's degree.
• Knowledge of Arizona adjudication statutes, water rights law, and water resources management.
• Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS mapping software and geospatial analysis.
• Strong technical writing and ability to communicate complex data to non-technical audiences.
• Field investigation skills including GPS systems, flow meters, and water level monitoring equipment.
• Valid Arizona driver's license.

Job description

The Hydrogeologist 2 provides technical support to Arizona's General Stream Adjudication Courts, including field data collection, water resource analysis, map production, and historical research on water rights and landownership. The role works closely with adjudications staff and may offer remote work flexibility (with minimum two days on-site per week) while supporting complex water management cases and serving as expert witness testimony.
