Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in Woodbine, GA, is seeking a Hydrogen Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility equipment within the Hydrogen Plant. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and mechanical troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machines, coordinate with the System Controls Operator, and ensure compliant documentation while supporting continuous improvements and plant reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing operation or related setting; filling or loading experience preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment such as pumps, compressors, valves and related tooling.
• Training and experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, compressors, troubleshooting or repairs is ideal.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker certifications.
• Ability to read, interpret and adhere to SOPs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Quality focus with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to keep the facility operational, including troubleshooting and repairs of production machines and equipment.
• Maintain required documentation and records.
• Communicate with System Controls Operator for maintenance and operation of compressors.
• Monitor process equipment, diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test and adjust as needed.
• Prepare high-pressure and cryogenic trailers for filling and shuttle within the plant yard.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping protocols; ensure a safe work environment.
