Job summary

Wisconsin Public Service Corp, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, seeks an Intern - Hydroelectric Project Engineering for Merrill, WI or Iron Mountain, MI. This paid internship runs May/June 2027 through the summer, with hourly pay of $23.10 and holiday pay.

You will gain real-world experience in plant and project engineering, monitoring equipment, and supporting reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance across 30 hydroelectric plants in Wisconsin and Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or HSE.
• Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering majors with a graduation date after July 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Preview the work environment in their field of study and apply classroom learning.
• Combine engineering science with communications and team-building skills.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating equipment and system performance, while maintaining reliability, safety and regulatory compliance.
