Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an experienced Hydro Tester to join our pressure vessel manufacturing team in Norman, Oklahoma. You will perform hydrostatic and pressure tests to verify structural integrity, leak tightness, and compliance with specifications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on testing experience in fabrication environments and follows tested procedures with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydrostatic or pressure testing in fabrication/manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and test procedures.
• Familiarity with test equipment such as gauges, pumps, hoses, and fittings.
• Strong detail orientation and safety commitment.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrostatic pressure tests on vessels and components.
• Review drawings and test procedures before testing.
• Set up test equipment and test connections.
• Fill, pressurize, hold, and depressurize vessels per procedures.
• Monitor gauges and test conditions during tests.
• Inspect for leaks, deformation, or abnormalities.
• Verify calibration and suitability of test equipment.
• Record pressures, hold times, results, and inspections.
• Identify leaks or testing issues to QA/Engineering/Production.
• Drain, vent, and prepare vessels for next operation.
• Maintain hydrostatic test records and documentation.
• Follow safety PPE and testing procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized work area.
• Perform other duties related to testing and inspection.
