Job summary

Seattle City Light, a major municipally owned utility, seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the Generation Operations & Engineering team responsible for the hydroelectric power system. You will direct 22 engineers and staff, oversee a $55M CIP and $2.2M O&M budget, and coordinate with intertie partners to ensure reliable power for Seattle residents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressively responsible management experience in utility/engineering settings.
• In-depth knowledge of power generation systems within the electrical utility industry.
• Licensure as a Professional Electrical Engineer within the United States or ability to obtain WA registration within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the electrical engineering staff for hydroelectric generation facilities.
• Oversee annual budgets: CIP $55M and O&M $2.2M.
• Coordinate with multiple agencies and interties (Bonneville, Puget Sound Energy).
• Lead compliance efforts with NERC/WECC reliability and CIP standards.
• Develop plans for long-term CIP and facility maintenance.
