Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Overall experience of 10 years.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in MEP design for large power/industrial projects.
• Experience supporting powerhouse or BOP systems on at least one medium to large hydropower project.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review mechanical design for systems including cooling water, service water, HVAC, fire protection, elevators, cranes/hoists, ventilation, and related equipment.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with Civil/Geotechnical, Architectural and Construction.
• Interface with OEMs for project integration.
• Provide Construction & Commissioning support during execution including RFIs and field change evaluations.
• Review and approve mechanical deliverables to ensure compliance with customer requirements, codes and standards.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, safety in design workshops and HAZID/HAZOP.
• Support testing, energization, and turnover sequencing for station services and auxiliaries.
• Travel and remote work as required for project needs.
