Job summary

NorthWestern Energy in Ennis, MT is seeking a Hydro Plant Foreman to lead dispatching and operation activities for hydro generation. You will supervise personnel, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate maintenance and line switching to maintain reliability.

The role requires directing work, planning ahead, and coordinating with the Superintendent of remote plants. Experience in hydro operations and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of rotating electrical and mechanical equipment and mechanical diagrams.
• Must pass physical test to access all areas of hydro plants.
• Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct work.
• Order parts, scan invoices, and complete paperwork.
• Ensure completion of work to minimize out of service time.
• Supervise personnel to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Coordinate plant maintenance and transmission line activities.
• Review overtime and time sheets with supervisor.
• Adjust shift schedules to balance crew experience.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations.
• Assist in reports, budgets and schedules.
