Job summary

WCL Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support design and delivery for hydroelectric plants in California. You will work on modifications, upgrades, and new analyses, preparing calculations, drawings, and technical docs while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires circuit design experience, NFPA 70 familiarity, and strong collaboration with project stakeholders. On-site work in Rancho Cordova ensures alignment with schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hydroelectric power generation or hydro plant projects.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code).
• Familiarity with the California Electrical Code.
• Experience with Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Function in an engineering capacity, applying advanced techniques and analyses to assigned projects.
• Develop and modify deliverables for modifications and upgrades to hydroelectric plants.
• Prepare complex drawings, calculations, specifications, and documentation.
• Research and recommend equipment and material choices.
• Apply codes and company standards to project deliverables.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and review their work.
