Job summary

Badger Meter in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Mechanical Lab Technician to join our engineering team. You will perform mechanical and hydro testing, set up test equipment, and document results to improve product performance.

Working with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineers, you’ll analyze data, interpret drawings, and support calibration and maintenance of lab equipment in a safety‑focused environment.

This hands‑on role offers growth in testing methods and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in mechanical technology or related field.
• 1-3 years in mechanical testing or lab support.
• Experience with precision measurement tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical and performance testing for new and existing products using test procedures.
• Set up, configure, and operate test equipment, fixtures, and instrumentation.
• Test production components and prototypes to evaluate functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Document test results and analyses in reports and databases.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, and test plans.
• Assist with calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab equipment.
