Job summary

Idaho Power is seeking two Generation Specialist Apprentices for CJ Strike and Shoshone Falls plant crews. The role involves maintenance on hydroelectric facilities, ensuring safe operation and regulatory compliance, with on-call duties for Apprentice II.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and related experience or IPC Pre-Apprentice status. The position pays $35.79-$51.92 per hour and may include housing or safety gear provisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for Apprentice I.
• Currently IPC Pre-Apprentice Generation Specialist or 1 year related energy/plant experience.
• May require valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on hydroelectric facilities and related equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in rotating on-call schedules.
