Job summary

Socket.dev in Ohio is seeking a Hydraulics Technician to perform a range of manual tasks, rebuild and overhaul actuator components, and collaborate with a team to ensure quality. Responsibilities include preparation work, loading/unloading materials, and operating basic shop equipment, with emphasis on accurate measurements and adherence to drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical interworking’s, including pneumatic.
• Ability to dismantle and reassemble components to the specification of OEM or blueprints.
• Diagnostic, precise machining/measuring to ensure operational integrity.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with an ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
• Experience in Overhead Crane and Rigging a plus.
• Ability to use and operate various air driven tools such as die grinders, impact wrenches, common tooling.
• Organized and detail oriented; ability to follow detailed work instructions and directions from leadership.
• Must have a positive attitude and be teachable.
• Ability to work in a shop environment and stand for up to 10 hours per day.
• High School Diploma/GED
• 2-5 years of experience is highly desired.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of working efficiently and effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Able to lift 50lbs of material or components

Responsibilities

• Rebuild and overhaul actuator components as part of a collaborative team.
• Perform preparation work, material loading and unloading, and operate basic shop equipment.
• Conduct accurate measurements and verify work to ensure quality and compliance.
