Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; ability to read and follow English instructions.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated use of measuring devices, hand and power tools.
• Ability to work from drawings, sketches, or layouts.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and operate hydraulic, heating, water, air or gas systems.
• Hook-up instruments, valves, controls, brackets and piping; perform soldering and welding as required.
• Check completed equipment and ensure safe and correct operation.
• Build test equipment for engineering.
• Maintain/replace test equipment as part of central systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment and replace faulty components including hydraulic pumps.
• Maintain oil levels and change filters as necessary.
• Be observant of unusual conditions and notify supervisor.
• Prevent cross contamination by proper handling of fluids/gases.
