Job summary
Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking an Embedded Software Test and Validation Engineer for its New Bremen, OH location. This role focuses on leading design qualification and validation activities for new product development in lift trucks and material handling equipment.
You will work with stakeholders and engineering to define testing strategies, create comprehensive test plans, and develop automated test frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; or Associate degree with 6+ years related experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
- Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills
- Ability to safely operate a lift truck with training
- Willingness to travel occasionally with overnight stays
Responsibilities
- Lead design qualification and validation activities for new product development.
- Identify testing strategies with stakeholders based on product requirements and standards.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans to verify system functionality.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks to improve efficiency.
- Shift on-vehicle testing to MIL/SIL/HIL simulation environments to speed up development.
- Analyze test results and collaborate with engineering to resolve issues.
