Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Application Engineer to design, develop, and implement hydraulic systems for heavy machinery within our manufacturing operations. You will connect product design with production, supporting both new development and continuous improvement projects.

The role emphasizes heavy machinery hydraulics, CAD design in SolidWorks, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on safety and quality regulations. Hybrid work flexibility is available after a solid onboarding period.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 5 years of hydraulic systems design and implementation experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • At least 1 year of railcar experience.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and heavy machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Continuous learning mindset and up-to-date with industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement hydraulic systems for heavy machinery to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Create detailed designs and analyses using SolidWorks.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and heavy machinery issues.
  • Identify improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Provide training and technical support to the manufacturing team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and safety/quality standards.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
