Job summary

Jobot is hosting an Industrial Hydraulics Application Engineer role in which you will own the technical side of projects from requirements to commissioning. You’ll partner with customers and sales to tailor hydraulic systems and guide best-fit designs, building schematics, BOMs, and support quotes.

The position emphasizes hands-on problem solving, CAD modeling, circuit design, and component selection, with up to 15% travel to customer sites across the Midwest.

Qualifications

• BS in ME or Fluid Power or equivalent.
• 3+ years industrial hydraulics / systems integration.
• Strong circuit design and component selection; UL/CE a plus.
• CAD and hydraulic modeling proficiency.
• Travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Define the application with customers and design the best-fit hydraulic system.
• Create schematics, size components, build BOMs, and support quotes.
• Review designs, support testing/validation, and improve performance.
• Support startup, commissioning, troubleshooting (new + retrofit systems).
