Job summary

CNH Industrial is seeking a Hydraulic Engineering Intern in New Holland, PA. You will work with a team of five hydraulic engineers, mentored to gain hands-on experience in system design, validation planning, and prototype support.

Open to currently enrolled college students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering. The internship runs May through August, full-time (40 hours/week), with housing support and competitive wages to help you grow your career and contribute

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting system and component design work for hydraulic applications in agricultural and construction machinery.
  • Assisting in the creation and execution of validation plans to ensure performance, durability, and safety requirements are met.
  • Contributing to prototype machine builds, helping integrate hydraulic systems and resolve engineering challenges.
  • Collaborating with engineers to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Learning industry standards and applying engineering practices to support both new product development and continuous improvement efforts.

Job Purpose

TheHydraulic Engineering teamis responsible for the design, validation, and integration of hydraulic systems and components across CNH machinery. By ensuring reliable system performance, the team plays a critical role in supporting equipment productivity and advancing new product development.

As aHydraulic System Engineer Intern, you will work closely with a team of five hydraulic engineers—one of whom will serve as your mentor to gain hands-on experience in system design, validation planning, and prototype support.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supportingsystem and component design workfor hydraulic applications in agricultural and construction machinery
  • Assisting in the creation and execution ofvalidation plansto ensure performance, durability, and safety requirements are met
  • Contributing toprototype machine builds, helping integrate hydraulic systems and resolve engineering challenges
  • Collaborating with engineers to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements
  • Learning industry standards and applying engineering practices to support both new product development and continuous improvement efforts
Experience Required

Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.

The annual salary for this role is $23.69 - $25.75 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role).

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
