Job summary

CNH Industrial Group is seeking a Systems Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience in requirements, testing, and system integration across engineering disciplines. You will have the chance to lead a small project and apply systems thinking to CNH equipment development.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s in Electrical, Systems, Agriculture, or Software Engineering, with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Pursuing at least a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Agriculture Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn in a team setting.
• Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on projects or internships in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating requirements for software development.
• Test and validate software on equipment.
• Lead an entry-level project to implement a new feature on CNH equipment.
• Define system-level features and decompose into subsystems and requirements.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines for system definition, design and integration.
• Work with software teams on implementation and integration of software into vehicles.
• Support root cause analysis on issues involving controller software and hardware.

Intern Program Overview

Job Purpose

As aSystems Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience defining requirements, testing software, and supporting system integration projects across multiple engineering disciplines. You will also have the opportunity to lead an entry-level project, applying system engineering principles to real-world equipment development.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting in thecreation of requirementsfor software development
• Performingtesting and on-board validationof software packages on equipment
• Leading an entry-level project toimplement a new featureonto CNH equipment
• Definingsystem-level featuresand decomposing them into subsystem definitions and requirements
• Collaborating across engineering disciplines to coordinatesystem definition, design, and integration
• Working with software development teams onimplementation and integrationof software into vehicles
• Supportingroot cause analysison issues involving controller software, hardware I/O, wire harnessing, and mechanical subsystems
• Conductingdesign analysison components, vehicle systems, and software architectures to ensure requirements can be met
• Participating indesign reviews, safety analysis, DFMEAs, hazard and risk assessments
• Assisting with the development ofautomated testing toolsand technical documentation

Experience Required

Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor’s degree in the following majors or a related field: Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Agriculture Engineering. Software Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

Proven curiosity and passion for engineering demonstrated through academic achievement, extracurricular activities, personal projects, technical competitions, research, or prior internship experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and contribute in a collaborative engineering environment.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $19.57 - $35.02 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
