Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. seeks a skilled pipefitter to lay out, fit, cut, bend and assemble pipe systems per blueprints. The role involves reading plans, selecting elbows, flanges, supports, and installing pipes with appropriate joints and fasteners.

You will also maintain hydraulic/pneumatic components and test for leaks, supporting welding tasks as needed. The ideal candidate has PF or Instrumentation training with 1 year of field experience or 3 years in the trade, and can read and

Qualifications

• Must complete PF or Instrumentation course at a technical or trade school and 1 year experience or minimum 3 years field experience.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor/co-workers and understand direction from supervisor and welder.
• Use basic math and a calculator to solve geometric problems related to instrument fitting.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, cut, bend and assemble pipe systems as per blueprints.
• Select components, cut to length, thread, bend, and plan assembly.
• Install and align pipes and fittings for hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
• Connect pipes using joints and hand tools, and secure to structures.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components, test for leaks, and support welding tasks.
