Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Plymouth, MI, is seeking a production-focused team member to assemble and test hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder products, following safety and lean principles. You will ensure parts meet specifications and maintain accurate production records.

You will use hand tools, read basic blueprints, keep work areas clean, and participate in training. Starting pay is $24.75/hour with potential for advancement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Basic computer skills required / Basic math skills required
• Basic understanding of gauging / measuring devices required
• Basic blueprint understanding required
• Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in accordance with safety guidelines and lean principles.
• Produce hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder products including assembling, testing, detailing, loading/unloading equipment, gathering materials, and positioning work area.
• Use hand tools, specialty tools and basic measuring equipment to complete tasks.
• Visually inspect parts and review blueprints/diagrams for conformance to specifications.
• Review work orders for special instructions and complete production paperwork.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
• Participate in company-sponsored training programs.
• Deal ethically with Parker's customers, suppliers, and associates.
• Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.
