Job summary

Blanchard Machinery is seeking a Hydraulic Hose Technician to fabricate, assemble, and repair hydraulic hoses and systems. The role requires reading hydraulic schematics, using crimping tools, and performing tests to ensure leak-free operation.

You may work onsite and at client locations, with opportunities for training and career growth within a safety-conscious environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, hydraulics training, 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational training or certification in hydraulics preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of proven experience as Hydraulic Hose Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with crimping machines and measuring equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Good communication and customer service skills, especially for field service.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license with limited moving violations for mobile work.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate hydraulic hoses according to specifications, including measuring, cutting, and crimping.
• Assemble and install hose fittings, ensuring leak-free operation.
• Inspect and repair damaged hoses and lines; determine necessary repairs.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic system issues related to hoses and fittings.
• Perform preventative maintenance on hydraulic hose assemblies.
• Identify hose specifications and select appropriate hoses and fittings.
• Conduct pressure testing to ensure integrity and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of hose inventory, repairs, and installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• May involve on-site service and repair work at client locations.

The Hydraulic Hose Technician is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing hydraulic hoses and systems. The Hydraulic Hose Technician will have a strong understanding of hydraulic principles, hose specifications, and safety standards.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.Vocational training or certification in hydraulics is preferred.
• 6 months to 1 years of proven experience as a Hydraulic Hose Technician or in a similar role.

• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.

• Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license with less than three moving violations in the past three years required for mobile positions.
• Welding experience may be beneficial in some roles.

Working Conditions

• The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside (non-climate controlled) and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
• Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
• Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
