Job summary

PIRTEK USA is hiring a Hose Assembly & Installation Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base. Training is provided on industry knowledge, PIRTEK processes, safety standards, and operating our mobile service unit.

The role requires physical work, on-call hours with incentive pay, and the ability to work independently in varying environments. No prior hose experience is required as comprehensive training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Driver’s License with clean driving record preferred.
• Experience in industrial development & construction, automobile/marine/field mechanics, or a related industry is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all industry and PIRTEK safety standards.
• Carry out service calls & sales visits in your local area.
• Identify faulty hoses and/or hose assemblies to service the customers’ needs.
• Remove worn or broken hoses before fabricating and installing the new replacement.
• Ensure oil spills/environmental contaminants are contained to customer satisfaction and regulations.
• Input service details into the online database to create accurate invoices.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers.
• Maintain mobile service unit, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on-site and conducting frequent follow-up visits.
• Participate in the rotating On-Call schedule (with increased incentive pay).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

PIRTEK is hiring for a Hose Assembly & Installation Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in varying environmental conditions. This is a messy job that requires manual labor and on-call hours (on-call with incentive pay), so dedication and grit is essential.

Hydraulic and industrial hose experience is NOT required! Each Hose Assembly & Installation Technician is provided complete training on industry knowledge, PIRTEK processes, safety standards, and how to operate your purpose-built mobile service unit. PIRTEK also provides support through a 24/7 hotline for Technicians to ask technical questions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Ensure oil spills/ environmental contaminants, due to hose failure and/ or repair, are cleaned or contained to the customer’s satisfaction (as well as federal, state, and local regulations)
• Input service details into the online database to create accurate invoices
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers
• Maintain mobile service unit, tools, and equipment
• Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on-site and conducting frequent follow-up visits
• Participate in the rotating On-Call schedule (with increased incentive pay)
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Work Environment

You will be operating out of a PIRTEK a purpose-built mobile service unit – a workshop-van that is outfitted with all the tools and machinery needed to successfully service your local area.

• Territory-based service areas
• Service locations may differ in terrain, noise level, temperature, common amenities available, etc.
• Oil, grease, lubricant, and other “messy” substances are frequently used
• You may be required to travel for training initiatives, at no cost to you

Skills & Abilities Needed

• Sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop from moderate to extended periods
• Safely use ladders, step-ups, stairs, etc.
• Mechanically inclined – consistent use of hand tools & specialized equipment is required
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Self-motivated & positive attitude through difficult jobs
• Able to work individually and as a team
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Can safely & lawfully drive a large work van
