Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Fluid Power Technician to support the build and service lifecycle of critical industrial equipment. You will assemble new grease units, diagnose hydraulic systems, and repair air-operated pumps in a fast-paced field/ shop environment.

You will work with grease units, hydraulic components, and small diesel engines, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely documentation for each job. This role requires strong English communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand and electric power tools.
• Rudimentary knowledge of small diesel engines.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Ability to work independently or lead in supervisor's absence.
• Experience reading hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks safely according to regulations.
• Service grease units for the oil field.
• Rebuild and replace hydraulic components and air-operated pumps.
• Monitor parts and inventory for current and upcoming jobs.
• Assemble new grease units.
• Troubleshoot grease unit and hydraulic circuits.
• Complete parts sheets, requisitions and other documentation.
• Maintain all tools in the department.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
