Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Muskego, WI is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, install, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems at customer sites and in-house. You will troubleshoot hydraulics, travel frequently, read schematics, and perform electrical wiring as needed.

The role is a direct hire with a wage of $35.00-$40.00/hour DOE plus travel premium, working a 1st shift. Must be able to travel and pass a DOT physical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Hands-on hydraulic systems or fluid power field service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and related equipment
• Install, set up, and commission new hydraulic systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
• Build, install, and test hydraulic hoses to specification
• Troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and manifolds
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
• Perform minor electrical wiring related to hydraulic systems
• Accurately document service work, repairs, and parts used
• Manage job scheduling, tools, and spare parts while traveling
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Comply with OSHA and company safety standards
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and service vehicle
• Interact professionally with customers on-site
