Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies, founded in 1923, is seeking a Fluid Power Design Engineer to translate customer specifications into reliable designs for new and existing equipment. Responsibilities include preparing quotes with sales consultants, maintaining quote logs, and implementing cost-saving ideas, while overseeing third-party quotes and generating management reports.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering, 3 years of industrial equipment experience, and proficiency in MS

Position Summary

Responsible for fluid power designs, systems, and components; will have accountability for understanding customer needs and resolving issues relating to design problems.

Essential Functions

• Review customer specifications and prepare quotes, working with sales consultants.
• Provide fluid power designs for existing and new equipment.
• Maintain all Quote logs, files, and communications.
• Review and implement cost savings ideas as they relate to fluid power designs.
• Oversee third-party quoting efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, and on time.
• Maintain Key Operating Statistics and prepare reports for management.

Education

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite software required, AutoCAD a plus.
• Automation background a plus.
