Job description

Job Title: Lead Inside Sales Representative - South

Hydraquip, a fluid power distributor representing over 40 world-class brands, is seeking a Lead Inside Sales Representative for the Southern region. This role involves leadership within our inside sales team, focusing on customer satisfaction, sales growth, and operational efficiency. The position reports to the Operations Manager and oversees Houston inside sales, with indirect responsibilities for San Antonio and Louisiana branches.

Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the primary inside sales/customer service contact, providing support and liaising with management for issues and direction.
  2. Ensure consistent customer service across branches, manage major accounts, and support inside sales team training.
  3. Enhance efficiencies in quoting, order entry, and inventory management.
  4. Coordinate with purchasing for order processing and production.
  5. Lead and mentor the inside sales team to high performance standards.
  6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  7. Improve lead tracking via Hubspot, phone, and chat.
  8. Monitor customer service scores and coach team members accordingly.
  9. Manage open orders, assist with logistics, and address order issues.
  10. Track customer visits with Account Managers monthly.
  11. Maintain vendor contacts and organize databases to streamline information.
  12. Oversee order management processes, including quotes and issue resolution.
  13. Conduct regular team meetings to review orders, issues, vendors, and inventory.
  14. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements

Education: High school diploma or GED; technical degree or certifications preferred.

Experience: 2-5 years in inside sales, customer service, or technical fields; hydraulic or mechanical experience advantageous.

Skills: Leadership, hydraulic/mechanical knowledge, customer focus, communication, organizational skills, safety awareness.
