Job summary

Junior Achievement of South Florida, Inc. seeks a Workforce Development Program Specialist to support JA’s workforce development programs for high school students. You will help manage multiple programs and events annually as part of the Workforce Development team.

You will recruit and engage students, assist in curriculum delivery, and coordinate logistics with host sites. The role requires strong communication, organization, and facilitation skills, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in educational program implementation, curriculum application, or related experience.
• High skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
• Must have a vehicle to travel to/from appointments, events, etc.
• Experience and comfort presenting curriculum to high school students.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize and maintain deadlines while managing multiple events.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), as well as presentation skills.
• Must have facilitation experience.
• An effective team player who takes initiative.
• A strong customer orientation – can build rapport with people at all levels, both internal and external.
• You will be at your best under high pressure.
• Strong focus on attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, retain, and ensure students’ success in the program.
• Assist in the implementation and presentation of curriculum and activities for JA’s Workforce Development programs.
• Oversee and manage logistics for program days, host-site communications, and materials.
• Manage student assignments and deliverables, such as resumes and projects.
• Communicate with students regarding participation and deliverables.
• Support students before, during and after their internship experiences.
