Job summary

The New Jersey Youth Chorus (NJYC), a program of Wharton Arts, seeks a Program Manager to lead day-to-day operations and ensure a high-quality experience for choristers, families, and staff.

Responsibilities include managing rehearsals, concerts, scheduling, communications, and systems administration, with travel within New Jersey and occasional beyond. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in arts administration, program coordination, or nonprofit operations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with youth programs or performing arts organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement program plans, calendar, and seasonal activities as established by the Program Director.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of NJYC, including rehearsals, scheduling, and program logistics.
• Plan and execute concerts, workshops, retreats, and tours (domestic and international).
• Manage communications with families and staff; distribute clear program information.
• Maintain program records, attendance, and internal systems; improve workflows.
