Qualifications

• Five years in fields utilizing the required knowledge and abilities for workers' compensation claims.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience with WC claims in public sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review reports of occupational injuries and illnesses for accuracy.
• Interview employees to obtain information for liability determinations.
• Audit medical and prescription bills and authorize benefits.
• Provide training on claims processes to operational departments.
• Maintain accurate claims files and submit documents to the Virginia Industrial Commission.
• Attend monthly department meetings to review claims status.
