Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience handling workers' compensation claims
• Experience working with a third-party administrator and attorney coordination
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Virginia Worker's Compensation Act and claims processing

Responsibilities

• Review occupational injuries/illness reports for accuracy and completeness
• Audit medical/prescription bills and approve benefits
• Interview City employees to determine City's liability under the Worker's Compensation Act
• Maintain accurate claims files and submit required reports to the Industrial Commission of Virginia
