OpenAI is seeking a hands-on Web Designer to craft exceptional experiences for business audiences on OpenAI.com. You will own projects from exploration to launch, collaborating with engineers, brand designers, marketers, and writers to ensure accessible, high-quality web experiences.

You’ll balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints while contributing to a cohesive site-wide design system and responsive interactions.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft and thoughtful UX decisions.
• Ability to translate product capabilities and business use cases into clear stories and web experiences.
• Experience shipping high-quality websites or web products with attention to typography, layout, and interactions.

Responsibilities

• Own design from concept through implementation, including IA, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity responsive designs.
• Translate complex product capabilities and business use cases into clear web storytelling.
• Design product, solution, and campaign experiences to help business audiences discover, evaluate, and take action.
• Partner with engineers, brand designers, marketers, and writers to shape ideas, tradeoffs, and ship polished work.
• Evolve and apply our web design system, creating reusable patterns for consistency and expressive storytelling.
• Stay involved through implementation and design QA with focus on accessibility, responsive behavior, interaction details, and performance.
• Use research, feedback, analytics, and experimentation to improve experiences over time.
