Job summary

BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking Web Administrators for PA, MD, and DE areas in a full-time hybrid role. You will administer and maintain web servers, manage deployments, and ensure security, accessibility, and disaster recovery readiness.

Required: 3–5+ years in web administration, Bachelor’s in IT/CS, and experience with IIS/Apache/NGINX. On-site requirements include two days per week at designated locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 3–5+ years in web administration in public sector.
• Hands-on web server administration, SSL/TLS management, and performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with Section 508/WCAG accessibility and state IT standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain web servers and hosting environments (IIS, Apache, NGINX) across state agency platforms.
• Manage website deployments, configuration, and version control; ensure uptime and performance optimization.
• Implement and enforce security standards for web applications, including SSL/TLS certificates and patching.
• Monitor web traffic, logs, and performance metrics; troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents promptly.
• Coordinate content updates and ensure compliance with accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
• Perform backup and recovery operations for websites and related databases; maintain disaster recovery readiness.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and business units to support application releases and enhancements.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and change management approvals.
• Ensure compliance with state IT policies, including security, privacy, and records retention requirements.
