Job summary

LiquidXR is seeking an Electrical Engineer II in Los Angeles to design and iterate electronics for our wearable platform. You will own concepts through mass production, focusing on low-power sensing electronics and robust interconnects for body-worn devices.

You will work hands-on with benches, scopes, and lab tools, designing, validating, and documenting hardware, while collaborating across product, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on PCBA hardware design, bring-up and debugging.
• Experience with low-power MCUs (ARM Cortex‑M) and wireless (BLE/Wi‑Fi).
• Proficient in ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, DFM/DFT, and EMI/EMC compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end electrical design for wearable platform components.
• Design circuit schematics and multi-layer PCB/FPC layouts.
• Validate electrical systems, battery management, and sensor interfaces.
• Prototype bring-up, debugging, and characterization of hardware.
• Produce docs: schematics, layouts, BOMs, test plans and reports.
• Diagnose and resolve EMI/EMC and signal integrity issues.
• Collaborate with product, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams.
