Job summary

You will design relocations, prepare specifications and cost estimates, review facilities for conflicts with road, drainage and traffic designs, and coordinate permit applications with DEQ. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• Five or more years of engineering design in water/wastewater.
• Licensed PE in NC or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• CAD experience required; MicroStation or AutoCAD preferred.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team and take on additional projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient in Excel/Word.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project deliverables, specifications and cost estimates for water and sanitary sewer relocations.
• Analyze facilities for conflicts with roadway, drainage, and traffic designs.
• Prepare water and sewer permit applications for NC DEQ.
• Provide technical marketing support during procurement of key projects.
• Occasional field investigations and meetings.
• Mentor junior engineers.
