Job summary

UPS in Mesquite, TX is hiring a Warehouse Worker / Cover Driver. The role blends warehouse duties with the option to work as a cover driver, training you to rotate between tasks as business needs require. Warehouse duties are primary, with occasional driving responsibilities.

You may rotate between warehouse and driving duties based on package volume, staffing and seasonal demand, sometimes week-to-week, sometimes in longer blocks before switching back.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 70 lbs and maintain stamina.
• Valid drivers license; no CDL required.
• Satisfactory driving history and DOT physical required.
• Pass UPS driver test and demonstrate customer service.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear uniform.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages from UPS trailers and vehicles.
• Sort, move and handle packages in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Report for assigned warehouse shift when not in the Cover Driver role.
• Safely operate UPS package delivery vehicles as a Cover Driver.
• Deliver and pick up packages with excellent customer service.
• Work outdoors and at customer locations; meet driver qualification standards.
