Job summary

City of Atlanta seeks a Visual Content Creator to capture high-quality photography for the Atlanta City Council, and to support videography, editing, and graphic design for council initiatives. This role works with Communications staff and Council personnel.

Responsibilities include shooting Council meetings and community events, editing for social media and reports, and managing equipment and archives. A hybrid schedule applies with in-person five days as needed and remote one day per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Photography or related field; exceptional experience may substitute.
• Minimum 5 years of professional photography; videography and editing strongly preferred.
• Experience with government or political events is a plus.
• Municipal or public sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Photography: Capture professional photos of Council meetings, events, and community activities.
• Editing & Graphic: Edit photos/videos for social media, reports, and promotional materials; color correction and visual effects.
• Equipment & Technical: Operate and maintain cameras, lighting, sound, and editing stations; advise on upgrades.
