Job summary

Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) is seeking adjunct instructors to facilitate student learning and continuously develop instructional strategies across hybrid, in-person, virtual, and online delivery formats. This role emphasizes student success, data-driven assessment, and ongoing professional development in a dynamic college environment.

Position is per course, on-site at the Appleton Main Campus, with responsibilities spanning learning facilitation, classroom management, community

Qualifications

• Associate degree or the degree/licensure level at which the adjunct instructor is teaching at minimum (Bachelor’s degree in related and appropriate field preferred).
• Minimum of 4,000 hours occupational experience in a target job for the program within the last five years; 3–5 years preferred.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
• Must meet FVTC requirements at the time of hire and during employment.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitation: develop instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and promote engagement across delivery methods (hybrid, in-person, virtual, online).
• Assessment: measure student learning and provide feedback; use data to improve course outcomes.
• Classroom Management: maintain schedules, attendance, grades, and a safe instructional environment.
• Team Participation: collaborate with department and stay current with college initiatives.
• Business & Community Engagement: build relationships with community and industry partners and promote programs.
• Student Success & Support: advocate for students and collaborate with Student Services to improve retention.
• Professional Development: advance knowledge through development activities and maintain QA standards.
• Curriculum Development: update or create competency-based curricula aligned with policy.
