Pew Research Center in Washington, DC, seeks a Video Producer and Editor to shape the center's video strategy and independently lead short-form content across platforms. You will move between writing, editing, and motion graphics, producing engaging videos in Premiere and After Effects for high‑visibility research releases.

You’ll partner with researchers and editors, guiding them through production processes and ensuring accurate, nonpartisan storytelling that resonates with audiences.

Qualifications

• B.A. or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-7 years of experience producing and editing high‑quality short‑form video content.
• Translate complex research findings into clear, engaging visuals.
• Experience writing scripts upholding editorial standards for accuracy and nonpartisanship.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
• Ability to read data graphs and translate analysis into animation.
• Proven ability to lead video production from planning through delivery.
• Editorial judgment reflecting Pew Research Center's nonpartisanship.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit video content for Pew Research Center's website and social platforms.
• Lead video concepts tied to major research releases from concept to delivery.
• Build a library of motion graphics and templates setting the visual standard.
• Manage post-production workflows across multiple projects.
• Maintain timelines and publish aligned with research releases.
• Support studio and field shoots; operate cameras, lighting, and audio as needed.
• Ensure content aligns with editorial standards and nonpartisanship.
• Translate research data into social‑friendly visual stories.
• Develop data-driven storytelling for short-form platforms.
• Collaborate with researchers, design, digital, and audience teams.
